A series of 8 Toolbox Safety Talks on the safe use of power tools is available in English and Spanish. These resources complement an on the job safety program keeping employees safe.

Power Tool Safety Video Series
The revised ISANTA Power Tool Safety Video Series is an educational resource published by ISANTA. It consists of 5 videos that cover various safety topics related to power nailers and staplers. Videos 1 through 4 consist of various topics. Video 5 is a knowledge quiz based on the information provided in the first 4 videos.

Video 1 – Selecting the Proper Tool for the Job
This video provides an overview of the three basic categories of power driven fastening tools: nailers, staplers, and specialty tools. You will receive guidance on determining the appropriate tool to utilize based on factors such as working material, job assignment, and the type of fasteners needed.
Video 2 – Read and Understand All Manufacturer’s Instructions, Safety Symbols and Warnings
This video covers the information typically found in the manufacturer’s instruction manual for nailers and staplers. You will gain understanding about safety standards, tool manuals, safety symbols, and warnings designed to improve safety and best user practices.
Video 3 – Know Your Tools- Power Sources and Tool Care
This video covers pneumatic, electrical, and gas power sources for nailers and staplers, along with tool care guidance for this equipment. You will review the difference in these three basic power sources with guidance on proper tool maintenance.
Video 4 – Know Your Tools- Safe Handling and Operation
This video reviews nailer and stapler handling tips, personal protective equipment, and potential injuries. You will receive guidance on both safety measures to prevent injury, as well as how to respond in case an injury does take place.
