Nails and staples produced by ISANTA members are made to standards that have been developed and listed by ASTM International.
These standards provide the necessary information regarding terminology, material requirements, physical properties, dimensions and tolerances, protective coatings, testing procedures, and requirements of not only the fasteners, but the wood-based materials that these fasteners are driven into.
ISANTA is an active participant in the ASTM standards process and holds the chair position for the F16.05 subcommittee on driven fasteners.
