International Staple, Nail and Tool Association Seeks Consensus Body Members
for Renewal of ANSI SNT-101-2015
May 4, 2022, Chicago, IL - ISANTA has announced the renewal of ANSI SNT-101-2015, Safety Requirements for Portable, Compressed-Air-Actuated Fastener Driving Tools.
ISANTA is seeking additional stakeholders representing the "User" and "General Interest" categories to serve as members of the consensus body. Consensus body members serve to review proposed revisions to the standard and vote to affirm whether the standard is renewed as an American National Standard. Category definitions are included below:
User: Owners, employers, employee supervisors, and operators of power fastening products who use this standard as a reference in purchase, installation, use and maintenance of power fastening products.
General Interest: Distributors, safety professional and others interested in power fastening tools and other persons concerned with, or responsible for, the safe use of power fastening products.
Individuals or organizations interested in participating should contact Jeff Henry at Jhenry@isanta.org no later that May 25, 2022.

ANSI SNT-101
ISANTA is active in aiding in the development of safety standards, and has its own safety standardANSI SNT-101-2015: Safety Requirements for Portable, Compressed-Air-Actuated, Fastener-Driving Tools. This standard contains safety requirements for tool manufacturers, tool purchasers, and tool operators and is intended to provide safeguards for persons and property from accidental hazards arising from the use of air-actuated fastening tools. It is also intended to assist government and other regulatory bodies in the development, promulgation, and enforcement of appropriate safety directives. This is the standard adopted in the USA. Users of the ISANTA website may view, print, download, or otherwise save copies of ANSI SNT-101-2015 for their own personal or internal business purposes. No other use, including reproduction, retransmission, editing, or distribution, by sale or otherwise, of this publication may be made without the prior written permission of ISANTA. ISO 11148 Part 13
ISANTA and ISANTA members are active in the development and maintenance of ISO-11148-13: 2017 Hand-held non-electric power tool-Safety Requirements - Part 13: Fastener driving tools. This standard (when adopted by a country) specifies the safety requirements for hand-held non-electric fastener power tools.
